This was Cricket's first time on our 3 young steers.
Tony, the white face Hereford X, is a butt. He hangs out with Roar the
bull, pushing heads with him, thinkin' he's all bad and stuff. Hal and
Mel, the two Angus X's, are nice, easygoing steers, do what they're asked, don't
give any trouble, but not Tony. So Cricket took it upon herself to teach
Tony some manners. Now, she's got ZERO training at this point - not even a
down. However, she shows great talent with driving right now, so we'll
start her doing that and work on fetching with the lambs. And did I
mention that these steers are NOT dog broke?

Little do they know |

Hal and Mel decide to leave now and avoid the rush |

And there's Tony, Mr. Badboy, still on the ground |
|

He's gonna get it |

Cricket driving, AND rating herself |

I'm obviously behind her with the camera; she's doing
her own rating. They are walking quietly |
|

Now things get a bit rowdy |

But she's got them back in control |

Mel tests the waters; Cricket puts him back on shore |
|

Mel's not usually a bad boy. Cricket will fix
this herself |

Ah, bad boy Tony is about to learn something, the hard
way of course |

He's really pushy, but Cricket's just getting started |
|

Yep, real teeth |

Flying Cricket |

She ducked long before he kicked |
|

Tony is getting tired and cranky |

He's about to give in to her |

This is an amazing shot you can't see - Cricket first
hit his nose, and right here she's got his front heel! |
